Managing Subscribers in AMP

Learn how to view, add, import, and organize your AMP subscribers — including lists, CRM integrations, and engagement analytics.

Subscribers are the contacts AMP uses to deliver your email campaigns, track engagement, and build your marketing audience. Every person you send a campaign to — whether they came from a manual import, a CRM integration, or a sign-up — lives in your subscriber list. From the AMP Dashboard, the Customers section is your central hub for growing that list and understanding who is most engaged with your content.

This article covers the Customers section of the AMP Dashboard. For a full overview of the dashboard and its other sections, see the AMP Dashboard Overview.

The Customers Section

The Customers section appears on your AMP Dashboard and is split into three areas: Social Platforms, your subscriber count and management tools, and the Most Engaged leaderboard. Together they give you a real-time snapshot of your audience and quick access to every tool for growing and managing it.

Social Platforms

The Social Platforms area lets you connect your company's social media accounts so AMP can post content on your behalf. Click + Connect a Platform to begin.

Before connecting, review the requirements shown on this page:

  • You must be an admin of your company's social accounts.

  • Facebook requires a business page (not a personal profile); Instagram requires a business or creator account.

  • For Facebook and LinkedIn, you'll log in with your personal account first, then select the company page to connect.

  • Connections are handled through Ayrshare, a third-party provider. Connecting gives PromoPulse permission to post on your behalf via Ayrshare — no other access to your accounts is granted.

Click Ready to Connect to proceed through the Ayrshare authorization flow. If you run into trouble, use the "Having trouble?" link at the top of that page.

Total Subscribers and Managing Your List

The Total Subscribers counter shows how many contacts are in your AMP account. Click Manage Subscribers to open the full subscriber management panel.

The panel opens to All Subscribers by default, listing every contact with their email address, first name, last name, and date added. Use the toolbar icons at the top right of the table to switch between views, filter, export as a spreadsheet, or search for a specific contact. Each subscriber row has a pencil icon to edit their details and a trash icon to remove them.

Lists

Lists let you segment your subscribers into named groups — for example, by industry, event, or campaign. Click the All Subscribers ▼ dropdown at the top of the panel to switch between lists or create a new one.

To create a new list, click + Add List, enter a name in the List Name field, and click CREATE.

When you select a specific list from the dropdown, the table filters to show only the subscribers in that list. You can import subscribers directly into a specific list — see the next section for how.

Adding Subscribers

There are two ways to add subscribers manually. You may also sync from your existing CRM by utilizing one of our Integration options (see next section).

Add a single subscriber: Click the Add Subscriber button at the top right of the panel. A new dialog appears — type in the email address, optionally the first and/or last name and click the Add Subscriber button to add the contact.

Import a list in bulk: Click Import List to open the Bulk Add Subscribers wizard. Choose how you'd like to provide your contacts:

  • Upload a File (CSV, TXT) — upload a spreadsheet of contacts. Click Sample CSV to download a template showing the expected column format. Generally, if the spreadsheet has an email address, that is all we need.

  • Paste text — paste a list of email addresses directly.

Click FINISH once you've provided your data. Imported subscribers are added to whichever list is currently selected in the dropdown — switch to the list you want before importing if you need them in a specific segment.

Integrations

AMP can automatically sync subscribers from your existing CRM or email platform, so you don't have to import manually every time. Click Manage Integrations to view and manage your connected services.

To connect a new service, click + Add Integration. Choose from the available options:

Supported integrations include commonsku Shops, Constant Contact, DistributorCentral, Facilis, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Mailjet, PromoXcrm, Zapier, Zoho Campaigns, and Zoho CRM. Already-connected services appear grayed out. For a full overview of the Integrations area — including what each service syncs and setup guides for the ones with detailed instructions — see Understanding Integrations in AMP.

Once an integration is active, use the sync icon (circular arrow) next to it to manually trigger a refresh, the pencil icon to edit its settings, or the trash icon to disconnect it.

Most Engaged

The Most Engaged panel ranks your subscribers by activity over the selected date range, showing total item views, email opens, and clicks for each contact. The date range shown matches the date filter at the top of the dashboard.

Click the analytics icon (📈) to the right of any subscriber to jump directly to their individual detail page. Click View All Subscriber Analytics → at the bottom of the panel to see the full engagement table for every subscriber.

Subscriber Analytics

The Subscribers - Summary page shows your complete subscriber list alongside their lifetime engagement stats: opens, views, clicks, requests, bounce status, and unsubscribe status.

Use the Show only Active Subscribers toggle to hide anyone who has bounced or unsubscribed. Click REFRESH to pull the latest data. The + MANAGE SUBSCRIBERS button opens the same subscriber management panel as on the dashboard.

Click the View icon (↗) on any row to open that subscriber's detail page.

Subscriber Detail

The Subscriber Detail page gives you a complete picture of one contact's relationship with your account.

At the top, you'll see the subscriber's name, email address, list memberships, the date they were created, their last activity date, and their current status (Subscribed, Bounced, or Unsubscribed).

The Subscriber Interactions section summarizes their overall activity — item views, opens, clicks, and requests — along with email open rate, click rate, number of campaigns delivered, and the date they last clicked.

Below that, Campaign Activity lists every campaign this subscriber received, with opens, views, clicks, and a link to view that campaign. Subscriber Requests logs any product or info requests they've submitted through your campaigns.

Click BACK TO LIST in the upper right to return to the Subscribers - Summary page.

Managing Email Bounces and Unsubscribes

What AMP Handles Automatically

AMP automatically processes the following to protect your sender reputation:

  • Unsubscribes — contacts who click Unsubscribe in any AMP campaign are immediately removed from future sends

  • Hard bounces — email addresses that permanently fail delivery (e.g. the address doesn't exist) are flagged and suppressed from future campaigns

Note: A bounced or unsubscribe contact remains on your visible subscriber list so you can see their history. However, AMP will not send to these addresses. Suppression happens automatically.
