Important Note: You must complete all these steps one time to grant us access to your account.
Once set up, you can change your List ID without completing all the other steps again.
1. Get Your API Key and Secret
Go to the Constant Contact developer portal: https://app.constantcontact.com/pages/dma/portal/
Click "New Application" button
In the form, complete the following:
Click Edit once the application has been created
Copy the API Key that is shown on the screen
Click Generate Client Secret button and copy the Secret that is generated.
In the Redirect URI, click the "Pencil" icon and enter:
https://integrations.promopulse.io/callback/constant-contact-auth
2. Get your List ID
Log into Constant Contact
Click Audience -> List and segments in the menu
Click on the list you wish to use
In your browser url, get the List ID. Its the last part of the url. For example if your url is:
https://app.constantcontact.com/contacts/lists/7c5b38ee-81d3-11f0-a43c-fa163ea34668
In this example, the List ID would be:
7c5b38ee-81d3-11f0-a43c-fa163ea34668
3. Create Your Integration
In the PromoPulse Portal, click Integrations
Add a new Integration
Choose Constant Contact as the integration Type
API Key: <API KEY FROM STEP 1 ABOVE>
List ID: <LIST ID FROM STEP 2 ABOVE>
4. Authorize PromoPulse to Use your Constant Contact
Important Note: This step must be completed within 5 minutes of starting the process! If you don't complete within this time, must restart this section from the beginning.
In the AMP Portal, click Actions next to your new Integration and then click "Authorize".
This will open a new browser window and send you to Constant Contact to authorize your connection to PromoPulse. The Activation Code box will automatically be filled in. Click Next at the Activation Code
You will be presented with a message to approve sharing of your contact data. Click Allow Access
Once you click Allow you will be shown a message "Follow the instructions on your device for next steps". This section is complete.
Your integration is now active!
